Community Questions - Sarald Von Honkington

Welcome back to another article in our Assassin's Creed Community Questions series. Made up of interviews with Assassins based around the world.

This week, we are joined by Sarald Von Honkington! Who joined our Assassin's Creed Partnership Program in August 2026 as a member of the Writing Team and is based in the United States.

Col: Hi Sarald, thank you for joining me for this interview. Please could you tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within the Assassin's Creed Community.

Sarald: Well, I'm currently double majoring in anthropology and history, and a bit of a homebody. Add a splash of autism and Assassin's Creed has become one of my special interests. I have 4 dogs and 3 cats and my lap is often occupied by at least one of them

Col: In July 2026, you joined The Ones Who Came Before's Assassin's Creed Partnership Program, known as the Isu_Network. Are you excited to work alongside the Writing Team?

Sarald: I am very excited to work on the writing team. I never imagined I would ever get recruited into something like this, and even though it might not be a paid position, it is still quite exciting to be invited to something like this.

Col: Do you have a favourite piece of content?

Sarald: My favorite piece of content is either the games- though it is hard to narrow down a favorite- or the fan art made by ramshackledtrickster on tumblr.

Col: How excited are you for the future of Assassin's Creed?

Sarald: I am cautiously optimistic about the future of Assassin's Creed. I wish they hadn't canceled the game they had for the American Civil War and I wish they would bring the modern story back into the games, but I still have enjoyed what they have done.

Col: Which Assassin's Creed game have you been playing recently, and which game are you playing next?

Sarald: The current Assassin's Creed game I'm going through is Shadows which I'm going with a friend. The next game we're going to go through is Dragon Age Veilguard.

Col: Have you visited any of the locations from the games?

Sarald: I have sadly not visited any Assassin Creed locations in real life. I have done some international travel, but I have yet to be to any of the locations we have seen in the games. Several of them are on my bucket list though.

Col: Which Assassin's Creed game is your favourite and why?

Sarald: My favorite game in the series has to be either Brotherhood or Syndicate. I love the building up of Rome in Brotherhood as we take down the Borgias, and I love the duality of Syndicate as well as the ambient sounds.

Col: Have you attended any events within the Assassin's Creed Community?

Sarald: I sadly have not attended any events within the Assassin's Creed community. Not unless comicon counts. Travel is hard and to be honest, I didn't really know there were events.

Col: Do you have a favourite Assassin's Creed community moment/ story you would like to share?

Sarald: It is only anecdotal, but my favorite story I have heard is a fan who helped their tour group when they got lost in Rome, and when they asked him if he had been there before he said no, that he had just played Brotherhood a lot.

Col: What would be your dream setting for the upcoming AC Netflix TV show or future game?

Sarald: I have a whole tiktok series about where I would love to see Assassin's Creed take place. The world and its history is vast, so it really depends on how much Netflix is willing to shill out. I just hope they don't try to do a direct adaptation of the games.

Col: Do you have any personal AC goals you would like to achieve?

Sarald: Personal goals would probably be trying to get more active in the community. Thought it would be a dream to work directly with Ubisoft.

Col: What would you say is your most significant community achievement to date?

Sarald: My most significant achievement to date is probably my tiktok where I talk about history events to see and bring interest in as future Assassin's Creed games given how vast and varied human history is.

Col: What is your favourite part of being a community member?

Sarald: I am new to the community as a whole, so I can't say quite yet.

Col: Do you collect AC merchandise? If so, what is your favourite item?

Sarald: I have only just started collecting merchandise. I have a necklace a friend gave me that is just the Assassin Symbol. So far that is my only piece beyond the games, but that collection will hopefully grow.

Col: What advice do you have for people looking to get into content creation, in particular, video editing and recording.

Sarald: I am not tech savvy so I am not the person to answer that question
