Introductory community questions with Blackheart / Phoenix, the newest addition to the TOWCB art team!

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I'm Blackheart, also known as Phoenix, and I'm a German cosplayer, traditional artist, writer, photographer, gamer and singer. My journey with Assassin’s Creed began in July 2022, when my mum gave me Assassin’s Creed Unity for my birthday and I immediately decided that I wanted to cosplay Arno.

Do you have a favourite piece of content from TOWCB?

My favourites are the info posts on Instagram about the birth and death dates, Easter eggs and locations.

What are your hopes and expectations for the future of Assassin’s Creed?

I'm open to pretty much anything; new and old locations, time periods and characters. I've enjoyed all the Assassin’s Creed games I've played so far, so I'm pretty sure the next ones will be good too. Right now, I’m most looking forward to Codename Hexe.

Any Assassin’s Creed games you have been playing recently, and which one are you playing next?

I usually switch back and forth between all the games depending on my mood and progress. My goal is to complete them all 100%, including the trophies.

Which Assassin’s Creed game is your favourite and why?

There’s something about every single one of these games that I love, so it’s really hard for me to choose. But if I had to pick just one, I’d go for Unity, because that was my first game and therefore set the tone for me.

Have you visited any locations from across the games in real life?

I’ve been to France a few times, but I haven’t visited any of the locations from the game yet. But I'm hoping to be able to travel to Versailles, London and Florence one day.

Have you attended any events related to the Assassin’s Creed community?

Not yet, but I hope to change that in the future.

Do you have a favourite Assassin’s Creed Community moment / story you would like to share?

My favourite community moment is whenever my character is recognised at a cosplay convention and I get to chat with other Assassin’s Creed fans. I'm usually the only one cosplaying from that fandom, but at a bigger con I still managed to meet a few people who do the same, and that was really cool. I'm hoping to meet even more AC cosplayers in the future.

What would be your dream setting and location for a future AC instalment?

It would be so nice to learn more about the history of some of the countries of Africa and Oceania, ideally focusing on the time period before colonisation.

What would you say is your most significant AC community achievement to date?

I'd say it was when Col messaged me about the opportunity to work with TOWCB. As I'm still fairly new to cosplay - only starting in May 2025 - and to the fandom, I feel incredibly honoured to be part of this.

What are your favourite things about the AC community and your part in it?

Getting to know other Assassin’s Creed fans. When I first started cosplaying, I wanted to find more people with the same hobby to talk to, and I'm really glad I've found my people, both online and offline.

Do you collect AC merchandise? If so, what is your favourite item?

I'm not much of a merchandise collector, but I own four AC themed necklaces, which I wear regularly.
