AC Community Questions: Phie // CaptureCreed
Interview
Welcome back to another article in our Assassin's Creed Community Questions series, made up of interviews with Assassins based around the world.
This week, we are joined by Phie / CaptureCreed, who joined our Assassin's Creed Partnership program as a Video Content Creator in early 2026, best known for her TikTok video edits.
Col: Hi Phie, thank you for joining me for this interview. Please could you tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within the Assassin's Creed Community.
Phie: Hi, my name is Sophie (or Phie online) and I’m 24 from Ireland. I’m a full time barista, with a degree in Cinematic Arts. My hobbies include editing, writing, acting, and singing. I have edited/directed many short films in university, but it was only after that, that I began making Assassin’s Creed edits. There was a slight learning curve (despite having editing experience) when it came to making “edits”, rather than longer, slower paced content I did in university. I’ve been doing it for just over two years now, and I’m so glad I started. I am very excited to be part of the team, and can’t wait to see where this takes me!

Col: Do you have a favourite piece of content?
Phie: Probably has to be the interview with Roger Craig Smith. The guy has voiced so much, and voice acting is one thing I’ve thought about exploring, so it was really cool to see that.
Col: How excited are you for the future of Assassin’s Creed?
Phie: I am always eager to see what Ubisoft will release next. I am a huge history buff (one reason I love the Assassin’s Creed franchise so much) I always look forward to seeing what time period and setting will be explored next!
Col: Which Assassin’s Creed game have you been playing recently, and which game are you playing next?
Phie: I have been replaying Origins, and plan to replay Mirage as I haven’t gotten round to playing the free DLC that was released a few months ago.
Col: Have you visited any of the locations from the games?
Phie: I have not unfortunately! Although I do plan to go to Italy and Greece sometime in the future.
Col:Which Assassin’s Creed game is your favourite and why?
Phie: My favourite Assassin’s Creed Game is Black Flag. The setting, the sailing, and the story (I love a good redemption arc) is what I loved most about it. Nothing beats exploring the Caribbean, especially as a pirate.

Col: Have you attended any events within the Assassin’s Creed community?
Phie: I have not attended any events unfortunately, but I definitely would if the opportunity arose.
Col: Do you have a favourite Assassin’s Creed Community moment/story you’d like to share?
Phie: I don’t have a specific moment per se, but what stands out most for me is experiencing how supportive the AC community is towards smaller creators. If it wasn’t for the support from my mutuals, I don’t think my account would have grown as it has. Likewise, they have helped to motivate and inspire me-I’m always trying to improve.
Col: What would be your dream setting for the upcoming AC Netflix show or future games?
Phie: I think an Assassin’s Creed game based in Amsterdam, specifically the Dutch Golden Age, would be a great maritime-style setting. The city itself is packed with tall buildings-perfect for parkour (like AC Unity) and the canals would be reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. The port was huge for trade worldwide, with the Dutch East Indian Company perhaps playing the Templar role. I believe it has solid foundations for a good AC story.
Col: Do you have any personal AC goals you’d like to achieve?
Phie: I’ve always wanted to meet/interact a few of the voice actors - I almost got to meet Matt Ryan (who voices Edward Kenway) at Comicon, but because of circumstances at the time I couldn’t go.
Col: What would you say is your most significant community achievement to date?
Phie: It has to be when Ubisoft Deutschland and Ubisoft UK commented on two of my edits - it felt like a huge achievement that they had even seen it, never mind commenting!
Col: What is your favourite part of being a community member?
Phie: Honestly just finding a group of people who like Assassin’s Creed as much as I and being able to interact and discuss the games. The editing community is so strong on TikTok, and we all support each other’s work. I began editing as just a hobby, and never expected to be apart of such a big community. It’s a great feeling receiving that recognition and have people enjoy your work, that’s for sure!
Col: Do you collect AC merchandise? If so, what’s your favourite item?
Phie: I collect a bit! I have all of the novels, some posters, etc. But my favourite definitely has to be my Edward Kenway cosplay. I haven’t had the opportunity to wear it to any events/cons-yet!
Col: What advice do you have for people looking to get into content creation, in particular, video editing and recording.
Phie: Generic answer: just do it. The only regret you’ll have is not starting sooner. Even if it’s at a baseline level, content creation is a great tool for pursuing what you’re passionate about, whilst also providing an incentive to improve your work. I’ve found I’ve improved so much more because I’m posting online; it’s nice to put your work somewhere.
Col: Where can our community members find you online?
Phie: @Capturecreed is my handle for both my TikTok and Instagram.
